LA native “RT” is a proud Filipina-American contemporary street artist with Irish roots springing from her mother’s lineage. Her grand mother’s surname, Oakes,  originates from Mac Oakes and in the Gaelic translation it is Mac Dubhdara; the Mac Dubhara “Oakes” family clan occupied counties in Ireland of Down-Antrim, Tyrone-Derry, and Louth-Meath.
RT’s paintings have been showcased across the Americas, Europe and Asia. Her current spotlight includes a bold and bright celebration of diverse American pop cultural icons and an exploration of scientific phenomena in an immediate and accessible context.
Hollywood Icons of the 1990s: Gone But Never Forgotten and NBA ALL-STARS have been featured at NBA All-Star Weekend and on ESPN. They have exhibited at RAW Artists LA, Downtown LA Art Walk, O GalleryLA, Stone Malone Gallery, Skirball Center, Art Basel Miami, Art Basel Hong Kong, and Exclusive Pop Up Shows across the globe.
RT’s work has also been featured in Koncept, Elegant, Baller Status, PUSH, and VoyageLA Magazine and commissioned for installation elite hospitality brands globally. In 2020, RT created a tribute mural on the world-renowned Jim Morrison’s “Love Street” for Kobe Bryant and a billboard on Sunset Blvd which was featured on ESPN- Sports Center.
RT is currently painting a new series in her LA and England studio.
